In the beach volleyball competition, teams representing various universities across Shanghai engaged in fierce contests. ECUST women's team, relying on solid fundamentals and an indomitable spirit, battled the defending champions from Shanghai Jiao Tong University until the very last moment. Though ultimately defeated, they earned thunderous applause from the entire crowd. In the third-place play-off, they engaged in a fierce contest against Fudan University's women's team, ultimately missing out on a medal by a narrow margin. Nevertheless, their fourth-place finish represents ECUST best result in beach volleyball over the past five years. The men's team, lacking experience, did not secure a placing, but their victory over Fudan University in the group stage provided invaluable experience for future growth and development.
